How It All Started
One dog changed everything
Bella was a scruffy, underfed dog found on the streets of São Paulo in 2015. When our founder brought her home, they had no idea she would inspire a movement. Bellas unconditional love and resilience became the foundation's guiding spirit.
What started as one family's effort to help local strays grew into a cross-continental rescue network. Today, Bellas Family Foundation operates in Massachusetts, California, and Brazil — rescuing hundreds of animals every year.
